1. Acceptance of These Terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Transcribe: Video to Script mobile app ("Transcribe", "the app", "we", "our" or "us"), developed by iyia. By downloading or using the app you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2. The Service

Transcribe converts videos and audio into text, producing transcripts, timed segments, subtitle files and optional AI summaries. The service is provided on an "as available" basis and its features may change or be improved over time.

3. Free Tier and Subscriptions

• The app offers a limited free tier and an optional PRO subscription that unlocks additional usage and features.
• Subscriptions are billed through your app store account (Google Play or Apple App Store), renew automatically unless cancelled, and can be cancelled at any time from your store's subscription settings.
• Prices are shown in the app before purchase. Refunds are handled according to the applicable app store's policies.
• Usage is subject to reasonable fair-use limits, which may change to keep the service sustainable.

4. Your Content and Responsibilities

• You may only transcribe content that you own or that you are otherwise permitted to use. You are solely responsible for the content you submit and the transcripts you generate.
• You agree not to use the app for anything unlawful, harmful or infringing on the rights of others, and not to interfere with, disrupt or attempt to circumvent limits or protections of the service.
• Respect the terms of any third-party platform whose content you access.

5. Intellectual Property

The app, its design and branding belong to the developer. Transcripts generated from your content are yours to use. Transcribe is an independent product and is not affiliated with or endorsed by any third-party platform.

6. Disclaimer

Transcription is automated and may contain errors. The app is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free or fit for a particular purpose. Always verify important transcripts before relying on them.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. In any case, total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the preceding twelve months.

8. Termination

You can stop using the app at any time. We may suspend or terminate access in case of abuse or violation of these Terms.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above indicates the latest revision. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
