Transcribe turns videos and audio into text. The content you choose to transcribe is processed to create the transcript, which is returned to your device. The app does not require you to create an account and does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or any third-party login.

2. Information We Process

We keep data collection to a minimum. We process:

• The content you submit - the file or link you choose is processed only to create the transcript you requested. It is not used for advertising or profiling.
• Transcripts you generate - returned to your device and stored locally on your device.
• Subscription status - whether your PRO subscription is active, so we can unlock PRO features.
• Minimal anonymous app data - limited technical and usage information needed to run the service and apply usage limits. It is tied to a random, app-generated identifier, not to your identity.

2a. AI Processing

Transcription and summaries are powered by artificial intelligence. Here is exactly what happens when you use the app:

• What data is sent: the video or audio file you upload, or the media found at the public link you paste, together with your processing choices (language, translation, speaker detection). No name, email, contacts or other personal identifiers are sent with it.
• How it is collected: only when you actively start a transcription in the app. Nothing is collected in the background.
• Who processes it: our own servers. The media is processed by AI models — including the open-source Whisper speech-recognition model — running on our servers. No external AI company receives your content, and your content is never used to train AI models.
• What it is used for: solely to generate your transcript, timed segments, subtitles and optional summary, and to return them to your device. It is not used for advertising, profiling, or to identify you.
• Protection: transfers happen over encrypted connections; the media is processed transiently and is not kept by us for long-term storage.
• Control: nothing is sent unless you actively start a transcription; you can stop using the feature at any time.

3. Information We Do NOT Collect

• Your name, email address or phone number
• Account logins or passwords for any third-party platform
• Your precise location
• Your contacts, photo library or messages
• Any data used to build an advertising profile

4. How We Use Your Information

• To provide the transcription service you request
• To manage subscriptions and apply free and PRO usage limits
• To keep the app secure, reliable and working

5. Service Providers

We rely on a small number of trusted providers for cloud hosting of our systems and for managing subscriptions and purchases (Google Play and Apple App Store billing). They act only as needed to deliver their function; transcription itself happens on our servers as described in section 2a, and no AI company receives your content. We do not sell your data to anyone.

6. Data Retention

The content you submit is processed to create your transcript and is not kept by us for long-term storage. Transcripts remain on your device until you delete them or uninstall the app. We retain only the minimal anonymous information needed to operate the service.

7. Your Choices and Rights

• Delete local data: clear your history in the app, or uninstall the app.
• Deletion request: email info@repostpro.app to request deletion of the anonymous data associated with your install.

8. Children's Privacy

Transcribe is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

The app is available worldwide. By using it, you acknowledge that the limited processing described here may take place on servers located in different countries.
